Olivia Dunne, one of the most well-known athletes in college sports, has made the decision to avoid attending in-person classes due to concerns about her safety and the overwhelming attention from fans.

As a 20-year-old gymnast from Louisiana State, Dunne boasts a massive following of over 13 million across her various platforms.

Since the NCAA started permitting student-athletes to monetize their name, image, and likeness in 2021, Dunne has secured lucrative sponsorship deals, accumulating millions of dollars.

However, the challenges of fame and wealth prevent Dunne from experiencing a completely ordinary college life.

In an exclusive interview with Elle Magazine, Dunne disclosed her decision to refrain from attending campus classes for safety reasons.

She explained, “There have been incidents in the past that have caused concern, and I am determined to exercise utmost caution. I prefer not to disclose my daily schedule or whereabouts.”

Earlier this year, Dunne faced one highly publicized scare when a group of passionate teenage boys flocked to one of her gymnastics meets in Salt Lake City, fervently demanding her presence with chants of “We want Livvy!”

The commotion caused by the boys became so intense that law enforcement had to intervene, and videos capturing the incident quickly went viral online.

In response to the incident, Dunne’s team made the decision to hire a security guard, as previously reported by Insider.
