Psychic who worked on Gretchen Harrington Case in 1975 responds to Pastor’s arrest

Psychic Judith Richardson Haimes, known for her work in assisting law enforcement in solving numerous criminal cases, recently revealed her involvement in a nearly 50-year-old case involving missing 8-year-old Gretchen Harrington. In 1975, Delaware police sought Haimes’ help in locating Gretchen, who disappeared on her way to bible camp in Marple, Pennsylvania. During a meeting with police, Haimes made a prediction that unfortunately turned out to be true; she blurted out, “Oh my God, she’s dead,” causing distress among those present. A month later, Gretchen’s remains were found. Recently, murder and kidnapping charges were filed against David G. Zandstra, a former pastor and friend of the Harrington family. Zandstra is accused of sexually abusing a friend’s daughter and admitting to the murder of Gretchen. Haimes, reflecting on the case, expressed relief that the perpetrator has been identified but disputed the notion that Gretchen’s killing was an accident. Throughout her career, Haimes remained discreet about her involvement in missing persons cases, fearing both retaliation from criminals and skepticism from critics. She retired in 1977 due to health issues but still believes that psychics serve as investigative aids in crime-solving. Haimes currently resides in Clearwater, Florida, and takes occasional readings for herself.
