In addition to the family emojis, Emojipedia also hinted at the possible addition of two new facial expressions, a horizontally-shaking head and a vertically-shaking head. And that’s not all! Your smartphone may soon get a phoenix, a lime, a brown mushroom, and a broken chain emoji as well.
On top of these exciting updates, Emojipedia mentioned the potential release of new directional versions of six different types of person emojis. These include emojis depicting a person walking, person running, person kneeling, person with a white cane, person in a manual wheelchair, and person in a motorized wheelchair. However, it is still uncertain if these emojis will make it to the final version.
As for the timeline, Emojipedia anticipates that some platforms will launch these new emojis in a few months.
