Altercation on Frontier Airlines Flight Forces Diversion

A Frontier Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Las Vegas was diverted on Tuesday due to a heated argument between two passengers filled with expletives.

A video posted on Instagram showed one woman yelling at another passenger. Flight attendants and other passengers intervened, instructing her to stop. According to Fox News, the flight attendants made multiple attempts to calm the women down, even reassigning seats.

Flight-tracking data indicates that the flight was originally scheduled to last five hours and 30 minutes. However, due to the altercation, the flight was redirected to Denver, as confirmed by Frontier Airlines to Fox News. Local authorities then escorted the two women off the plane.

Frontier Airlines has not yet responded to Insider’s request for comment.

After a delay of approximately one hour, the flight resumed its journey to Las Vegas. KYW-TV reported that the two women were traveling together.

In a follow-up video shared by the same passenger, one of the women can be seen being escorted off the plane, prompting applause from nearby passengers.

This incident is just one of many instances of unruly behavior by airline passengers. As of July 9, the Federal Aviation Administration has received 983 reports of disruptive passengers this year, according to Insider’s previous report. These incidents have included attempts to open aircraft doors, passengers being voted off the plane by their peers, and assaults on crew members.
