Prepare to be astonished: The liberal media is exploiting the recently unsealed federal charges against Gal Luft to discredit the House GOP’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s questionable business dealings.
Luft, a former think-tank leader who has made numerous allegations against Hunter, has now been charged with failing to register as a foreign agent for his work with the Chinese energy company CEFC.
This raises the immediate question of why Hunter himself has not faced any charges for his involvement with CEFC.
Instead of addressing Luft’s allegations against the Bidens, the media outlets that previously overlooked them are now using these charges to dismiss them entirely.
It’s an understatement to say that Luft is not a Nobel Peace Prize candidate. However, when your profits are derived from shady international dealings, like Hunter’s well-documented involvement, you tend to get involved with characters like Luft.
If the son of a vice president-turned-president joining the payroll of a Chinese company with this kind of background doesn’t pose a national security risk, it’s hard to say what does.
Moreover, Hunter received a significant amount of money from CEFC. Luft’s think tank received $350,000 annually from a CEFC nonprofit division, while Hunter and his affiliates cleared millions (and that’s just what we know) through their “work” with the company’s for-profit arm.
