Comparative Report Examines T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T Services to Determine the Top Service Provider in the US

A recent report has identified T-Mobile as the leading cellphone carrier in the US, suggesting that over 300 million Americans should consider switching providers. T-Mobile outperformed Verizon and AT&T in six out of eight categories, including download and upload speed, live video and game experiences, and consistency. While Verizon won the best voice app experience and AT&T ranked first in network availability by a slim margin of 0.2 percent, T-Mobile impressed with its fast download and upload speeds, making it the top carrier in the country. This report, which analyzed T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T, reveals T-Mobile’s dominance in the American cellphone market. T-Mobile was found to have a Download Speed Experience score of 97.1Mbps, followed by AT&T with 57Mbps, representing a 6.7Mbps increase from the previous report. Opensignal, the company behind the report, analyzed millions of smartphones and billions of measurements between March 16 and June 13 to gather this information. T-Mobile has a user base of 260 million, while Verizon and AT&T have 142.8 million and 290 million respectively. T-Mobile not only won in download speed experience, but also claimed victory in upload speed experience with a 3.4Mbps lead over Verizon, increasing from the previous 2.8Mbps gap. The analytics company also introduced the concept of Consistent Quality in this report, which assesses the network’s ability to support various demanding applications. T-Mobile emerged as the best in Consistent Quality, scoring 79.8 percent, while Verizon trailed 3.1 percentage points behind and AT&T obtained a score of 75.2 percent. In terms of Live Video Experience, T-Mobile held the top position with a score of 47.3 out of 100, surpassing Verizon by 1.9 points. This measure encompasses factors such as initial delay, total stalling time, and live offset. However, Verizon did achieve a higher score of 77.4 points in Voice App Experience, barely edging out T-Mobile by 0.1 points. Regarding network availability, AT&T triumphed over its competition with a score of 99.4 percent, surpassing Verizon by 0.2 percentage points. T-Mobile secured the third spot with a score of 98.3 percent.
