Leandro was the son of 51-year-old Drena De Niro and artist Carlos Rodriguez. Tragically, the New York City Police confirmed that they responded to a 911 call at 55 Wall Street, where they found an unconscious male who was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.
Drena also released a statement through People, expressing her immeasurable shock and sadness at the loss of her beloved son, Leo. She thanked everyone for their love and support and asked for privacy to process the overwhelming grief. Drena initially shared the news of Leandro’s passing on Instagram.
