Guess Which City in Australia Has the Most Swifties on Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Can you guess which city in Australia has the highest number of devoted Taylor Swift fans? It may come as a surprise, but the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) takes the crown as the ultimate hub for Swifties. With ticket sales for her upcoming Eras Tour in full swing, Marketix Digital has released new data showing that the ACT has the highest concentration of Taylor Swift fans in the country. Shoaib Mughal, Managing Director of Marketix Digital, confirmed this finding after analyzing Google search trends following the tour announcement.

While Sydney and Melbourne may be disappointed, it is Canberra that has stolen the hearts of Swift’s adoring fans on a per capita basis. The ACT boasts a perfect score of 100, indicating the highest level of interest compared to other states. New South Wales follows closely with a score of 88, and Victoria ranks third at 80. Queensland trails behind Tasmania with a score of 59.

Interestingly, the data reveals that Taylor Swift has struggled to capture the same level of popularity in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. With search scores of 44 and 40 respectively, these regions show the least interest in the pop star. Mughal suggests that the distance from Sydney and Melbourne could be a factor, as fans in these areas would need to cover travel expenses in addition to purchasing tickets.

The frenzy surrounding Taylor Swift tickets in Australia has reached new heights. General admission tickets for her Sydney concerts sold out within hours of their release on Friday. With over $1 billion in earnings already, Swift’s Eras Tour is on track to become one of the highest grossing concert tours of all time. The iconic artist performs a 44-song set list over a three-hour spectacle, featuring both her latest hits and beloved classics.

In February, Swift will grace Australian stages for a total of seven shows, three in Melbourne and four in Sydney. The Melbourne Cricket Ground will host the Victorian shows on February 16, 17, and 18, with a capacity of over 100,000. Following this, Swift will take the stage at Accor Stadium in Sydney for four consecutive nights from February 23 to 26, with a capacity of 83,500. While there are no announced dates in other Australian cities or New Zealand, fans can rest assured that the unforgettable experience awaits them in the ACT, where Taylor Swift’s music resonates most deeply.
