During her press tour for “No Hard Feelings,” Lawrence, 32, made an appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s YouTube series “Chicken Shop Date.”
The interview covered various topics including Lawrence’s worst date and her film career.
They also discussed Cooke Maroney’s proposal to Lawrence in 2019.
“So being proposed to, what does that feel like?” Dimoldenberg asked. “I’ve always wanted to know.”
“Terrifying, but very, very exciting,” Lawrence replied. “I didn’t respond the way I had imagined. I had replayed the scenario countless times in my mind, but in the moment, all I could say was, ‘What? What? What?’ and then ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you.'”
“Like a competition winner?” Dimoldenberg exclaimed.
“Exactly,” Lawrence confirmed.
Dimoldenberg expressed her desire to be proposed to, prompting Lawrence to humorously drop down on one knee to fulfill the host’s dream.
However, Lawrence mistakenly called her Phoebe instead of Amelia, which caused a lighthearted moment of laughter between Lawrence and Dimoldenberg.
Lawrence and Maroney, an art gallerist, tied the knot in October 2019 and welcomed their first child, a son named Cy, in February 2022, paying homage to the artist Cy Twombly.
