Kelsea Ballerini, a Country Singer, Gets Struck in the Face by a Bracelet During Her Performance

Kelsea Ballerini, the talented country music singer, experienced an unfortunate incident during one of her shows. While she was performing on stage in Boise, Idaho, a bracelet was thrown at her, hitting her in the face. This incident is part of a concerning trend where female singers are being attacked or having objects thrown at them during their performances. A video of the incident, shared on social media, clearly shows Ballerini’s reaction as she visibly reacts to being struck and momentarily stops her performance before walking off stage.

Ballerini took to Instagram to address the incident, reassuring her fans that she was more scared than hurt. She explained that she walked off stage to “calm down” because everyone, including herself, the band and crew, and the audience, needed to feel safe in order to continue the show. She emphasized the importance of creating a safe environment during concerts, as everyone has deeper fears and triggers that may not be immediately visible.

In another Instagram post, Ballerini shared photos from the show and called for a better effort in keeping each other safe at concerts. She ended the post by saying, “ps- i’m fine, let’s just do a better job of keeping each other safe at shows. ily.”

Sadly, Ballerini’s incident is not an isolated incident. Just last week, pop star Ava Max was slapped by a concertgoer who rushed the stage during her performance. Ava Max sustained an eye injury and promptly banned the person responsible from attending future performances. Additionally, Bebe Rexha, another talented singer, was hit in the face with a phone thrown by an audience member during a concert in New York City. The responsible individual, Nicolas Malvagna, was apprehended and charged with assault.

It is crucial that we address and put an end to these instances of violence and disrespect towards performers. Concerts should be a safe space for everyone involved. Let’s work together to create an environment where artists can perform without fear and where fans can enjoy the music responsibly.
