A total of four individuals were apprehended during a comprehensive multi-station traffic operation aimed at addressing and preventing severe and fatal traffic incidents in the city of Moreno Valley.
Conducted by the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, the operation took place from 6 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. Sergeant Jared Hansen of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department stated, “The primary objective of this operation was to provide education to motorists and residents of Moreno Valley with the aim of reducing traffic collisions. To achieve this objective, we carried out highly visible enforcement activities throughout the city.”
Various units including the Motorcycle Enforcement, Commercial Enforcement, Accident Investigators, and Community Service Officers were deployed within the city to conduct educational and enforcement traffic stops,” said Hansen.
A total of four arrests were made during the operation, involving charges of driving under the influence (DUI), possession of ammunition by a felon, a felony warrant, and domestic violence, respectively. Additionally, 15 commercial citations, 27 parking citations, 117 vehicle code violations, and one vehicle tow occurred as a result of the operation.
Sgt. Hansen emphasized that the Moreno Valley sheriff’s station plans to continue organizing similar operations in the future, in an ongoing effort to decrease collisions and their impact on the city and its residents.
