TORONTO – Shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. will exercise his player option and stay with the Toronto Raptors for the final year of his contract, according to several media reports.
Trent’s player option for the 2023-24 season is worth US$18.8 million. The Raptors are also reportedly in negotiations with Trent for a contract extension.
In the 2022-23 season, the 24-year-old Trent averaged 17.4 points per game and had a three-point shooting percentage of 36.9%.
