Jeremy Corbyn ‘conspiracy theory film’ screening cancelled at Glastonbury festival

The decision to remove the film “Oh, Jeremy Corbyn: The Big Lie” from the Glastonbury Festival has been welcomed by the Board of Deputies of British Jews (BDBJ). In a letter to festival organizers Michael and Emily Eavis, BDBJ President Marie van der Zyl expressed deep concern over the film and its content. The BDBJ described the film as a “banned Corbyn documentary” and believed it would be profoundly sinister for such a film to be showcased at the festival. The organization argued that the film sought to perpetuate a conspiracy theory aimed at Jewish organizations, and requested that the festival not allow itself to be hijacked by promoters of hatred and baseless conspiracy theories. The BDBJ announced on Twitter that they were pleased with the festival’s decision to cancel the screening of the film, stating that “hateful conspiracy theories should have no place in our society.” Glastonbury Festival has yet to comment on the matter.
