The highly anticipated 28th Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance commenced at 10 a.m. and continued until 4 p.m. The event showcased over 100 exquisite vehicles, including supercars, race cars, and classic cars. O’Gara Coach Beverly Hills organized a special display of nine new luxury cars, which featured the debut of Aston Martin’s DB 12 sports car and DBX70 SUV on the West Coast.
Admission to the event was free, and parking facilities were conveniently available in nearby garages.

Prior to the Los Angeles Dodgers game against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday, players, along with their fathers and children, participated in the ceremonial first pitch. They also made the iconic “It’s time for Dodger baseball” announcement. This year, Major League Baseball dedicated Father’s Day to raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer. In all the games played on Sunday, on-field personnel wore specially designed blue-themed caps and blue ribbon decals to show their support.
Every player had the option to wear a matching pair of blue socks. The blue ribbon symbol was also prominently displayed on the bases and official dugout lineup cards in each stadium. MLB will contribute 100% of the royalties from on-field Father’s Day socks and caps to MLB Charities, a nonprofit organization. The funds will then be donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation to aid in the fight against prostate cancer.
Furthermore, Father’s Day marked the culmination of the Home Run Challenge, a fundraising initiative that started on May 20. Fans made pledges based on the number of home runs hit during this period, raising money to support prostate cancer research.
In his Father’s Day proclamation, President Joe Biden emphasized the crucial role of fathers in shaping the next generation. He highlighted how fathers teach their children essential values and guide them through life’s challenges, fostering confidence, character, and moral development.
Father’s Day originated from the initiative of Sonora Smart Dodd, who wanted to honor her single father, William Jackson Smart. In 1910, the first Father’s Day celebration took place in Spokane, Washington, on the third Sunday of June. President Calvin Coolidge recommended making Father’s Day a national holiday in 1924. It was later officially established as a holiday on the third Sunday of June by President Lyndon Johnson in 1966 and confirmed by President Richard Nixon through legislation in 1972.
