Lady Gaga assures her concerned fans that her recent absence is a positive thing.
In an open letter posted on Instagram, the “Poker Face” singer reveals that she has been engaging in a secretive and special creative process since 2022. Alongside winning an Oscar for her role in “A Star is Born” and wrapping up filming for the “Joker” sequel, Gaga has been incredibly busy.
Her letter states, “I wrote and produced a musical for a special project, I spent months preparing for my character in ‘Joker,’ I filmed ‘Joker’ for an extended period of time (which was a deeply introspective experience), I have been managing my start-up venture Haus Labs… and… working on the editing of the Chromatica Ball film.”
Gaga shares a snapshot of the Chromatica Ball, her seventh headlining tour from the previous year, confirming that a concert documentary is currently in the works. She also explains that working on side projects has allowed her to recharge.
She writes, “For the first time in many years… my love for creating art, music, fashion, and supporting my community has never been more fulfilling. This period of solitude has been incredibly healing and rejuvenating for my heart, mind, body, and creativity.”
Gaga acknowledges that her decision to keep her personal life private may be different for her devoted fans, who are used to her more open approach. However, she reassures them that her love for them will never waver.
After her accomplishments such as winning an Oscar, taking on a beloved role alongside Joaquin Phoenix, and being appointed co-chair of the Arts and Humanities Committee by President Joe Biden, Gaga definitely deserves a break.
