If your Apple Watch ran out of battery during your workout, leaving you without a record of your burned calories, fear not! You can manually add your workout data to the Health app and make up for it. Simply refer to your previous workout history to get an idea of what information to include. For example, if you ran for an hour and your watch died halfway through, you can check your past runs to see which metrics to add. This will give you an estimate of how many calories you burned during the entire workout. By doing this, you can still keep track of your burned calories and other important statistics.
Here’s how you can manually log your workouts:
1. Visit the “Browse” tab and select the “Activity” category on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap on “Workouts” to bring up a graph displaying your logged workouts.
3. In your logged workouts, you can review previous history to determine what data to include in your new entry.
4. Tap on the “Add Data” button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
5. A data entry form will appear, allowing you to select the type of activity, calories, distance (if applicable), and the start and end time and date of the activity.
6. Tap “Add” to finalize the entry, and the workout will be added to your record.
You can also use your past activity data as a reference to calculate the calories burned in your chosen workout.
If you need to delete a workout and its data, follow these steps:
1. Go to the “Workouts” section and scroll down to “Show All Data.” Tap on edit in the upper right corner.
2. Find the workout you want to delete and tap on the round red circle with a minus sign in the middle. Confirm “Delete” when prompted, and then confirm your selection by tapping “Delete Workout & Data.”
Keep in mind that deleting a workout will remove it from your record and affect your daily activity total. The calories burned and other metrics associated with that workout will no longer count towards your daily activity goals. So, be sure to consider the impact before deleting any workout data.
If you accidentally delete a workout or need to make adjustments, you can always manually add it back using the steps mentioned earlier. It’s a great way to track your progress over time and gain a better understanding of your overall fitness level. You can also set new goals and push yourself further by analyzing this data.
