The former CEO of Dippin’ Dots was apprehended after a domestic dispute with his girlfriend, in which he allegedly choked her before she managed to flee.
Scott Fischer, the ex-CEO of Dippin’ Dots, was arrested by Oklahoma City police early last Wednesday morning, following a 911 call from his girlfriend. Several news outlets have reported on the incident.
An arrest affidavit from Nichols Hills Police stated that Fischer was intoxicated when he returned home from work last Tuesday. According to local station KFOR, an argument between Fischer and his unidentified girlfriend escalated around 5:45 p.m. Later that night, Fischer allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the throat and choked her. When she tried to escape, he threw her over the couch and assaulted her, leaving traces of blood on the cushions.
The woman managed to break free and called 911, but Fischer grabbed the phone from her. She was able to escape the house before the police arrived, as reported by Law & Crime.
Responding officers found Fischer completely nude on the scene, with a blank expression on his face. He smelled strongly of alcohol and had trouble walking, which led to his arrest for public intoxication, domestic violence by strangulation, interfering with an emergency call, and indecent exposure.
When asked about the incident, Fischer gave a statement to News 9, disputing the reports and expressing regret for the situation.
Fischer served as CEO of Dippin’ Dots from 2012 to 2022. In 2018, he was arrested in Edmond, Oklahoma, for driving under the influence after crashing into a power line pole and two homes. In 2021, he was sued for sharing explicit photos of an ex-girlfriend without her consent.
