Prostate Cancer Diagnosis Revealed by The Dark Knight Actor Colin McFarlane

Actor and voice artist Adjoa Andoh has opened up about his battle with prostate cancer, revealing that he discovered his condition nine months after his brother’s own diagnosis. The 61-year-old star, known for his appearances in Doctor Who, Outlander, and as the voice of The Cube on the popular game show, stated that his illness was detected through a prostate-specific antigen test, which can be given to men without symptoms after a consultation with a doctor. Andoh, who has been regularly tested after discussing the illness with fellow actor who was being treated for prostate cancer 17 years ago, said that he feels lucky as his cancer was detected early. He is, therefore, being monitored with PSA blood tests every three months and an MRI scan annually. The actor has now joined Prostate Cancer UK’s latest campaign to urge men over 50 and black men over 45 to get a PSA test, saying that too many black men are dying from the disease.
