Orange County Register: Retail Complex Close to South Coast Plaza Acquired for $36.5 Million

The Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors reported that the Bristol Place shopping center in Santa Ana has sold for $36.5 million. Located less than a mile from the famous South Coast Plaza, the 55-year-old shopping center spans 61,454 square feet. The seller was represented by Hanley, while the buyer was only identified as a private investor from Newport Beach. Hanley generated 13 qualified offers from private and institutional investors and ensured prompt closing by negotiating that the buyer would waive their contingencies before loan approval. The shopping center was renovated in 2019 and was 89% occupied at the time of the sale, thanks to the $4.6 million remodel which added a large outdoor patio area, new storefronts, new roofs, additional power, and new HVAC units.

In other news, Grasons, the national franchise specializing in estate sale and business liquidation services based in Huntington Beach, has appointed Dave Dembinski as their new Vice President of Operations and Brad Roop as the Senior Marketing Manager. Michael Maples and Gregg Nelson, founders of Trumark Cos, were inducted into the 2023 Hall of Fame of the California Homebuilding Foundation during a recent gala in Anaheim, which had five honorees. Trumark Homes Southern California Division is based in Newport Beach.
