Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 37 counts of sensitive document-related charges. The indictment alleges that classified documents were stored in unauthorised locations at Mar-a-Lago, the former president’s Florida residence, including a ballroom, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, an office space, his bedroom and a storage room. Prosecutors pointed out that “tens of thousands of members and guests” visited the “active social club” at Mar-a-Lago for over a year after Trump left the White House. One photograph shows boxes stored in a bathroom and shower in the Lake Room at Mar-a-Lago, while another picture included in the indictment shows a storage room at Mar-a-Lago tipped over on the ground, with materials spilling out from it. Among the items in the box was a document marked “SECRET/REL TO USA, FVEY”, which meant it was releasable only to the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the US, according to prosecutors.
