Former Senator Tito Sotto, along with his brother Vic and Joey de Leon, popularly known as TVJ, has signed a deal with MediaQuest to produce content for TV5 and its other platforms. This move comes after TVJ’s departure from TAPE Inc., their previous production company, which they were associated with for 44 years. Sotto shared that TVJ aims to bring the “Eat Bulaga” title to their new TV5 program, and the content will be entirely owned by them. TVJ’s joint venture with MediaQuest includes providing content for all of MediaQuest’s platforms, including talks for primetime slots. Sotto expressed his desire for the new TVJ show to continue airing on the noontime slot, as it has become a familiar habit for the Filipino audience. The joint venture production for TVJ will be called TVJ Productions, and the content will be 100% owned by TVJ. Sotto also addressed the issue of ownership and rights over the “Eat Bulaga” title, stating that TVJ and the Filipino people rightfully own it. TVJ is determined to move forward with their new deal with MediaQuest, leaving TAPE Inc. in the past, and is committed to providing top-quality entertainment for their audience.
