June 7 (UPI) — Hotels.com recently published its Room Service Report, analyzing room service trends and revealing bizarre requests made by guests, such as “diet water”, melted ice cream, blowfish, cockle popcorn, an egg white-free omelet, a rice bowl for a dog, bison meat, and boiled bottled water.

Some guests have even requested to be served with their own fish, and for an egg-free shakshuka, a dish typically made with eggs.

The report revealed that some hotels listed on the website have unique room service offerings such as The Milestone Hotel in London, which provides in-room concerts from members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Post Oak Hotel in Houston, offering a $1,600 burger with a 24-carat gold brioche bun.

The Plaza Hotel in New York City also provides the “Home Alone Sundae,” a dessert inspired by the movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, consisting of 16 scoops of ice cream and multiple toppings, which costs $300.
