When it comes to men’s underwear, there are three main options: briefs, boxer briefs, or boxers. However, the choices for brands are practically endless. Among all the options, I discovered a company called Mack Weldon that makes incredible boxer briefs. I’ve tried three pairs so far and I absolutely love them. What’s impressive is that each pair is still in incredible condition. Unlike other brands, these boxer briefs have maintained their support, comfort, and color even after multiple wears and washes.

While all three pairs from Mack Weldon are excellent, they each have their own unique qualities. Let’s break it down:

1. AIRKNITx Boxer Brief: These boxer briefs are the best I’ve ever tried. They offer the perfect fit, providing comfort and support without feeling too tight. They’re not like bike shorts or baggy cotton boxers. I wear them for shorter jogs, while traveling, and whenever I need that extra support on the go. The fabric blend (50% polyamide, 33% polyester, and 17% elastane) is stretchy and sweat-wicking. Plus, the legs never bunch up, which is great for any situation where adjustments would be awkward.

2. 18-Hour Jersey Boxer: The “18 hours” in the name doesn’t mean you can only wear them for that long. You can wear them as long as you want. It refers to the resting period the fabric goes through before being used in the garment. This results in a consistent and comfortable fit that doesn’t change over time. These boxers are mostly made of cotton and have a relaxed fit, perfect for lounging at home or sleeping. They might ride up a bit under tighter pants, so avoid pairing them together.

3. Silver Boxer Brief: These boxer briefs are made mostly of cotton, so I don’t recommend using them for intense exercise. However, they have a closer fit compared to the Jersey boxers and won’t ride up your legs. The antimicrobial Silver XT2 fiber prevents bacteria and odor build-up, making them ideal for extra-long wear, especially during travel.

While Mack Weldon’s underwear is more expensive compared to other brands, it’s worth the price for the unique support and anti-chafe features they offer. If you’re looking for cheaper options, consider a three-pack from Calvin Klein. Another alternative with a unique “BallPark Pouch” is SAXX, as reviewed by us.

In terms of durability, Mack Weldon boxer briefs excel. I’ve been wearing my three pairs regularly for years and they have held up well. The colors have stayed vibrant, they remain stretchy and supportive, and they don’t bunch up or create visible lines. Overall, these boxer briefs are a great purchase. Despite the higher price point, the value is undeniable. They’re comfortable from the first wear and they maintain their quality over time, even after being subjected to multiple washes.
