(CBS 58) — Get ready! The most famous reindeer of all is making his way to CBS 58 on Monday, Nov. 27. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer along with his reindeer peers are set to help Santa Claus on a foggy Christmas Eve night. Tune in to the 1964 holiday classic, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” airing on CBS Nov. 27 at 7 p.m.
To mark the return of Rudolph to our television screens for another holiday season, CBS 58’s Emerson Lehmann and photojournalist Scott Depuy decided to quiz some Milwaukeeans about their red-nosed reindeer knowledge. The results are sure to surprise you as seen in this video:
At the Milwaukee County Zoo, Jennifer Diliberti encourages families to visit and check out the reindeer, or caribou. “Reindeer is a domesticated animal and the caribou is considered a wild animal,” Diliberti explained. “We have a male and a female.”
With the holiday lights display starting this Friday, Diliberti suggests there’s no better time for some zoo fun. “It’s really a nice time to come and visit, even if it’s a little chilly,” Diliberti added. “It’s almost like you have the zoo to yourself.”
