COLORADO’S DEION SANDERS RIPS LATE-NIGHT KICKOFFS: ‘DUMBEST THING EVER’
In Colorado’s season opener against TCU, Hunter had an outstanding performance, playing 129 snaps. He recorded 11 catches for 119 yards on offense and also made an interception on defense. Head coach Deion Sanders expressed his desire for Hunter to be a valuable asset to the team and not a liability. Sanders commended Hunter’s dedication to the team and hopes he can contribute to their success.
Hunter sustained his liver injury on September 16th when he was hit late by Colorado State safety Henry Blackburn. The hit resulted in an unnecessary roughness penalty for Blackburn and a hospital visit for Hunter.
