Secret Service agents are currently involved in an ongoing investigation in a neighborhood in Springfield on Tuesday afternoon. This incident has caught the attention of our crew and it appears that the investigation is focused on a house located at the intersection of West Liberty Street and South Wittenberg Avenue.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any specific details about the investigation at this time. We reached out to the Secret Service office in Cincinnati for more information, but they haven’t responded yet.
Initially, armored trucks were present at the scene, but they have since left.
Additionally, there is another developing story involving a shocking incident in Columbus, Ohio. A baby has been critically injured after a cinderblock was thrown into a car. Fortunately, the authorities have already arrested an individual in connection with this incident. However, we don’t have any information about potential arrests in the Springfield investigation.
When asked about the involvement of the Secret Service in these matters, Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi stated that they are unable to comment on the nature of their involvement at this stage. Any future actions related to these investigations will be disclosed in coordination with the United States Department of Justice or local prosecutors. The Secret Service has declined to provide any further details or answer additional questions from News Center 7.
This situation is still developing, and we will continue to update the story as more information becomes available.
