Attack on Titan releases final trailer for anime series with last episode airing on November 4. Studio MAPPA, under the direction of Yuichiro Hayashi, is animating the series. The band Linked Horizon, known for theme songs from previous seasons, will return for the opening theme song, while Ai Higuchi performs the ending song “Itterasshai / See You Later”.
The trailer, unveiled yesterday, revealed that the final episode will be an hour and 25 minutes long. The previous episode, titled Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special, was 61 minutes in length.
Linked Horizon’s new song, “Nisennen… Moshiku wa… Nimannengo no Kimi e… / Two Thousand Years… Or… 20,000 Years From Now…”, will be released in Japan on November 5, right after the finale’s premiere. The album art and a new artist photo for REVO, the singer and songwriter of Linked Horizon, have been released. REVO has previously created popular songs like “Guren no Yumiya” and “Shinzo wo Sasageyo” for the anime.
Ai Higuchi, the singer of the ending theme song, is known for her work on “Akuma no Ko,” the ending theme song of Attack on Titan Part 2. She has previously revealed that the song was not the only one inspired by Attack on Titan.
To commemorate the conclusion of the anime, an online event called Attack on Titan: After Party will be held. The event will feature 17 interesting attractions for fans, including cast interviews and staff talks with Yuichiro Hayashi, Hiroyuki Sawano, Shintaro Kawakubo (the manga editor), and more. Tickets are now available for 3000JPY.
In addition to the event, the series is set to release its first-ever art book in April 2024. The art book will feature colored illustrations and a new 18-page story titled Bad Boy. The cover illustration showcases Levi, Gabi, and Falco, and the first four pages will be revealed on October 30.
Crunchyroll will stream the finale of Attack on Titan and describes the plot of the special episodes as follows:
The fate of the world hangs in the balance as Eren unleashes the ultimate power of the Titans. With a burning determination to eliminate all who threaten Eldia, he leads an unstoppable army of Colossal Titans towards Marley. Now a motley crew of his former comrades and enemies scramble to halt his deadly mission, the only question is, can they stop him?
