Cavalcante, a Brazilian man convicted of first-degree murder, stands at five feet tall and weighs 120 pounds with long, shaggy black curly hair and brown eyes. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and some English. Residents are urged to secure their property, check on neighbors, and report any suspicious activity to the police. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Cavalcante’s capture.
Some schools in the area have reopened, with increased police presence to ensure the safety of students and staff.
