Britney Spears’ highly anticipated memoir, The Woman in Me, is generating buzz as it tops everyone’s must-read list. However, it seems that Christina Aguilera may not be too keen on being mentioned in the book.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Aguilera, while discussing her new Vegas residency, was asked if she hoped to be featured in Spears’ memoir.

Responding diplomatically, Aguilera stated, “Am I hoping? I’m hoping that everything is all good with her and everything’s beautiful. I think the future should be celebrated.”

Kimmel then posed a hypothetical scenario, asking Aguilera what she would choose if given the option of being included or not included in the memoir. Aguilera laughed it off but her reaction hinted at some reservation as she questioned, “For real, for real?”

With a hint of humor, Kimmel expressed his own desire to be mentioned in the book, to which Aguilera responded, “I’d rather it be you than me.”

“So hopefully you’ll be in it,” she added. “You’ll make the book.”

Given their long history and the public’s perception of their connection, it is highly unlikely that Aguilera will not be mentioned in The Woman in Me. From their time on The New Mickey Mouse Club to their well-known rivalry as teen pop sensations, not to mention their infamous lip-locks with Madonna at the 2003 VMAs, the two singers have always been intertwined in the public’s imagination. Moreover, Aguilera has previously expressed support for Spears during her conservatorship battle, calling it “unacceptable” that Spears was not in control of her own life.

However, their digital relationship hit a rough patch when Aguilera unfollowed Spears on Instagram after the latter made comments that seemed to shame Aguilera’s appearance. Spears later clarified her remarks, stating that she never intended to body shame anyone and expressing gratitude to Aguilera for being an inspiration.

Considering all these dynamics, it is safe to assume that Christina Aguilera will have some presence in The Woman in Me.
