- The Louvre, home to iconic masterpieces including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, is renowned for its popularity.
- A visit to the Mona Lisa alone can be a test of patience and determination that lasts for hours.
- I personally experienced the museum during the peak tourist season in June. Here is my account of the experience.
Exploring the Louvre, much like visiting Rome’s Colosseum or New York City’s Statue of Liberty, is considered a must-do when in Paris. For many travelers, seeing Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, the Mona Lisa, is a dream come true.
Although I don’t consider myself one of those travelers, I couldn’t ignore the fact that millions of people visit the Louvre every year. I decided to join the ranks and embark on a journey to the Louvre during my recent trip to Paris.
I was mentally prepared for the crowds and didn’t expect to have a moment alone with any artwork. As anticipated, the museum was bustling with shoulder-to-shoulder foot traffic, filling every corner.
Now, let me take you from the entrance to the Mona Lisa and share my experience.
