Red Sea International Film Festival 2023: A Star-Studded Affair with the World Premiere of ‘HWJN’
The annual Women in Cinema gala at the Red Sea International Film Festival was a star-studded affair with renowned celebrities such as Michelle Williams, Sharon Stone, Zoe Saldana, Diane Kruger, Maïwenn, Catherine Martin, Michelle Rodriguez, Naomi Campbell, and others in attendance on Friday, November 1st.
The festival commenced with the grand World Premiere of the Saudi fantasy romance ‘HWJN,’ directed by Yasir Al Yasiri, at the Opening Night Gala on Thursday, November 30th. The gala event was graced by the presence of Baz Luhrman, Will Smith, Johnny Depp, and many other esteemed guests.
Notably, the 2023 edition of the festival saw Baz Luhrmann heading the jury, with other illustrious names such as Joel Kinnaman, Freida Pinto, Amina Khalil, and Paz Vega as part of the Features and Shorts competition jurors.
The star-studded awards night will feature the MENA Premiere of ‘Ferrari,’ a biopic directed by Michael Mann and starring Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz. Additionally, Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film, ‘The Boy and the Heron,’ will be screened as the Public Closing Film.
The Red Sea International Film Festival is set to run from November 30th to December 9th, promising a showcase of remarkable cinematic talent and creativity.
