Oct. 11 (UPI) — Kirk Cousins and Gardner Minshew are featured in UPI senior sports writer Alex Butler’s list of must-start fantasy football quarterbacks for Week 6.

For Week 6, I have also provided rankings and waiver-wire additions articles for running backs, tight ends, and wide receivers. Keep checking back for updates and the latest injury information.

Here are my Top 20 quarterback rankings for Week 6. Along with Cousins and Minshew, Tua Tagovailoa and Trevor Lawrence are also recommended as must-start options. Additionally, there are several streaming options available within the rankings.

However, it’s important to note that Jordan Love and Kenny Pickett should not be started as they have a bye week in Week 6. Anthony Richardson of the Indianapolis Colts should be benched or dropped due to his recent placement on injured reserve.

Each of my must-start options rank within the Top 14 of my quarterback rankings.

Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa leads the NFL with 1,614 passing yards and is tied for second with 11 touchdown passes through five weeks. The Miami Dolphins quarterback continues to provide high-end fantasy football QB1 value, supported by talented receivers and running backs.

In three out of five games this season, Tagovailoa has thrown for at least 300 yards and two touchdowns. With the Dolphins potentially relying more on the passing game due to an injured running back, Tagovailoa is poised to have one of his best games of the season against the Carolina Panthers. Despite the Panthers’ strong pass defense, recent performances by quarterbacks like Jared Goff and Kirk Cousins suggest that Tagovailoa can exploit their defense and deliver a strong performance. He is my No. 3 option for Week 6.

Kirk Cousins

Kirk Cousins leads the NFL in passing completions, attempts, and touchdown passes (13). He is also averaging approximately 300 passing yards per game. Despite a recent hamstring injury to Justin Jefferson, Cousins has a talented group of receivers that can support him against a struggling Chicago Bears defense.

So far this season, Cousins has thrown for over 340 yards in three games and has at least two touchdown passes in every game. The Bears have allowed the most fantasy points, passing yards, and the second-most touchdown passes to quarterbacks through five weeks. With a high-scoring matchup, Cousins is likely to have another impressive performance with over 44 pass attempts. I expect him to record at least 325 yards and two touchdowns. He is my No. 7 option for Week 6.

Gardener Minshew

Gardener Minshew may not be a regular starter, but he provides streaming value in Week 6. With his second start of the season in place of the injured Anthony Richardson, Minshew is set to face his former team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have allowed the fifth-most passing yards and ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks through five weeks. Considering the strong performance by Josh Allen against their defense, Minshew should have a similar showing with around 250 passing yards and two touchdowns. He is my No. 14 option for Week 6.
