In a devastating incident, a young toddler has lost his life due to contracting a deadly brain-eating amoeba while swimming in Nevada.
The heartbreaking news was shared by the boy’s mother, Briana Bundy, through a heartfelt Facebook post on Tuesday.
Briana wrote, “Woodrow Turner Bundy returned victoriously to our father in heaven at 2:56 am.
“He is my hero, and I will forever be grateful to God for giving me the most amazing baby boy on earth. I am grateful to know that I will have that boy in heaven someday.”
Woodrow tragically passed away on July 19 from an infection caused by Naegleria fowleri, an amoeba that is almost always fatal. Only a few individuals in the United States have managed to survive this deadly amoeba
