Exciting news: I have partnered with my colleague Isabel Berwick, the writer of the Working It newsletter and host of the Working It podcast, to address more of your work and career challenges.

Have you ever felt undervalued at work? Do you need advice on dealing with a difficult team member? Is a terrible manager bringing you down?

We want to hear from you! If you have a problem that needs solving, you can submit it in audio format using this link. Your audio may be featured on the show, but you don’t have to provide your name or workplace.

Isabel and I will address your most challenging questions on her podcast. Please submit your questions, as we are here to assist you.

Next, we have a question:

I’m a 20-year-old about to start my second year of university, but I’ve recently been diagnosed with MS. I have been working since I was 13 and started my successful business at 16. However, due to university and health concerns, I decided to close down my business.

Despite my background in entrepreneurship and receiving excellent mentorship, I am aware that I will have to start from scratch, especially if I want to pursue start-ups in the alcohol industry, which is my passion. Is it sensible or even feasible for me to work in start-ups, particularly alcohol start-ups, with MS?

I understand that major corporations like Diageo may have better support systems in place for individuals with illnesses, but I don’t want my dream or ability to make a positive impact to be hindered. What is the best path forward for me? Male, 20s

Jonathan’s response will be published on Monday, October 2.
