The teaser for the upcoming horror film “Night Swim,” produced by Jason Blum and James Wan, is a chilling warning to those considering a late-night swim.
Starring Wyatt Russell, the film tells the story of a retired baseball player who moves into a new home and decides to revamp the pool for his kids and physical therapy. However, as revealed in the official synopsis, a dark secret from the home’s past unleashes a malevolent force that terrorizes the family.
The movie is based on the acclaimed 2014 short film by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire, with McGuire returning to write and direct the full-length version. The cast also includes Kerry Condon, Amélie Hoeferle, and Gavin Warren.
“Night Swim” is set to premiere in theaters on January 5, 2024, occupying the same early January slot that led to the success of Blum and Wan’s previous project, “M3GAN.” With its intense, straightforward scary movie vibe, “Night Swim” may follow in the footsteps of its predecessor and become a sleeper hit of 2024.
