ALBANY — The rising pop-punk local heroes of State Champs poured it all out under clear skies Thursday night at the Corning Preserve, where they headlined the Alive at Five concert series.

The Albany outfit issued its fourth album, “Kings of the New Age,” May 13, last month and will be headlining though the summer on an amphitheater tour that culminates in a slot at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, a sold-out, multi-day extravaganza featuring pretty much every pop-punk and emo act of note that has existed in the past 20 years.

The concert was moved to the parking lot under I-787 due to the threat of nasty weather, but conditions remained sunny and cool for the packed crowd.
