A top Queen Elizabeth look-alike has decided to retire after 34 years of impersonating the monarch “out of respect” for Her Majesty after her death at 96 last week.

Mary Reynolds — who has been impersonating the Queen since 1988 — was told that she bore a striking resemblance to the late monarch since the age of 17

“It’s been a great privilege to look like her because I think she’s so incredible,” Reynolds told Newsweek. “I mean, it’s a change of an era now, it’s all going to be very weird.”

Like many people around the world, the 89-year-old doppelgänger sat glued to her TV when it was announced that the Queen had been placed under medical surveillance and that members of the Royal family were saying their goodbyes.

“You do sort of [realize] that will be the end as far as I’m concerned…out of respect, I don’t think one should do anything,” lamented Reynolds.

Reynolds has appeared as the late monarch in several TV shows and films, including the “Doctor Who” 25th anniversary series and the 1990 Michael Caine-Roger Moore comedy “Bullseye.”

According to Reynolds, she was approached by a Russian news outlet to make an appearance as Queen Elizabeth after her passing — but she declined.

“I said, the only way I would dress up as the Queen would be in a black dress,” stated Reynolds.

The Post has reached out to Reynolds for comment.

Despite being Queen Elizabeth’s biggest fan, The Essex-resident has never officially met Elizabeth, but has been there for several of her iconic moments.

“I was in the Mall when she got married and I was just off of the Mall for her coronation,” Reynolds told the outlet.

“I slept overnight in the road with my boyfriend, in tents. We got very wet and we got very lucky because one of the buildings there had a radio so we actually heard the whole of the service.”

Reynolds said that even though she is not dressing up as the monarch anymore, she will still keep all the outfits in memory of a woman who “felt like part of the family,” Yahoo News reported.
