Pro Football Legend Terrell Owens Hits by Car Post Basketball Match – Watch on NBC Los Angeles

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens was involved in a car accident on Monday night after playing a pick-up basketball game in Calabasas, as confirmed by authorities.

Owens was struck by a car following an argument around 9 p.m. at the courts in the 2600 block of Rondell Avenue in the west San Fernando Valley, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies responded to the incident after receiving a call about an assault with a deadly weapon.

The sheriff’s department stated that Owens had been in an argument with a man after the recreational basketball game. The man proceeded to get into a BMW sedan and drive away, hitting Owens on the left knee as he was leaving the scene.

Following the incident, the man fled the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.

Terrell Owens, who is 49 years old, is a Hall-of-Famer and thankfully, he did not sustain any injuries.

Owens last played in the NFL in 2010 and had an impressive career, spending eight seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He led the team in receptions five times and ranks second in team history for receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Additionally, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Known for his entertaining playing style, Owens captivated fans with his on-field antics, including twice slamming the football down on the Cowboys’ star logo while playing for the 49ers. He also gained attention for pulling a marker from his sock to autograph a football after scoring a touchdown on “Monday Night Football.”

In 2018, Owens was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
