If you have done these two things, there’s a good chance that the thief won’t be able to access your phone’s apps to charge products. You also have the option to remotely erase everything on your phone and remove it from your Apple or Google accounts. We understand that losing a phone can be incredibly stressful for various reasons. Dealing with the logistics can be a nightmare, along with concerns about privacy, security, and the risk of fraudulent charges through apps, like the ones Linda mentioned. Use “Find My” to locate and secure your lost iPhone: The first step to take if you believe your iPhone is lost or stolen is to access the “Find My” feature to help you locate it. Depending on its location, you might be able to retrieve it easily or confirm that it’s indeed lost or stolen. To locate your iPhone using another Apple device, such as an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, follow these steps: Open the Find My app and navigate to the Devices tab to see your iPhone’s location marked on a map. Erase Device: This option permanently deletes all data on your device, excluding SD cards. After erasing it, the Find My Device feature will no longer work on the device. These are the steps you can take to prevent unauthorized charges on your lost or stolen phone.
