Pedestrian Killed Walking Along 210 Freeway In Pasadena

A pedestrian was fatally struck Sunday evening walking along the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway.

The crash happened along the 210 Freeway at Lake Avenue and was reported at 9:05 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol Officer Dion Conley.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP reported. The person’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, and there were no details available about the age or gender.

The crash temporarily shut down the carpool and Number 1 and 2 lanes for the investigation, the CHP reported.

The CHP issued a SigAlert on the 210 Freeway at 9:36 p.m.
