Dozens of airlines canceled flights to and from Israel amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza. While North American carriers have suspended flights to Tel Aviv until further notice, some European, Asian, and African airlines are still flying to Israel. The tension escalated after the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel over the weekend. More than 40 airlines, representing 42% of all scheduled service to and from Tel Aviv, have already canceled their flights on Monday. This includes US carriers like American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines. The Federal Aviation Administration has also advised caution when flying in Israeli airspace. Airlines such as Air France, Lufthansa, EasyJet, and Royal Jordanian Airlines have halted their operations to Israel. However, British carriers British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways will continue limited operations. El Al, the Israeli flag carrier, is still serving the country but with some delays. Other airlines such as Air Seychelles, Ethiopian Airlines, Emirates, Hainan Airlines, and Turkish Airlines are also flying to Tel Aviv. Despite the current situation, it is expected that flight schedules will continue to change as the conflict in Gaza develops.
