Broncos vs. Seahawks prediction
On paper, this is a complete mismatch. Denver ranked eighth in total defense last season and now adds Wilson to jump-start a dormant offense. On the other side, the Seahawks are projected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL. Geno Smith replaces Wilson at quarterback and the defense lacks talent at every level.
As you might expect, this matchup shapes up to be one of the biggest Pros vs. Joes games of Week 1. Pro bettors are on the home dog, while casual bettors will be all over the Broncos. Sometimes it pays to be on the public side. I think this is one of those times.
While all the talk will be centered around Wilson, it’s Denver’s ground game that should do the heavy lifting. The duo of Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon get to feast on a Seattle rush defense that allowed 114 yards per game last season. Expect that average to be even higher in 2022.
Betting on the NFL?
The Broncos will play plenty of close games in the ultra-competitive AFC West but they open the season with an opponent they should handle easily.
