Mortal Kombat 1’s latest update brings significant changes just over a month since its release.
NetherRealm Studios has released the latest update for MK1, which nerfs the Cyrax Kameo, adds a new stage variation for Halloween, and brings back a popular missing feature.
Although the patch notes are not yet available, it has been observed that Cyrax’s horizontal spin now consumes the entire Kameo meter to perform.
This is a major change for the best Kameo in the game, requiring double the resources for a move that was previously powerful in combos and blockstrings.
There are likely more balance changes included in the update, but the full breakdown is still awaited.

In addition to the changes to Cyrax, NRS has introduced a new Halloween stage variation for the Cage Mansion, which will likely be available for a limited time for free.
Finally, the ability to pin moves on the screen has been brought back, allowing better learning and practice options.
