The National Dog Show Presented by Purina is an annual event that aired on Thanksgiving following the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Stache, a Sealyham Terrier with his handler Margery Good, won Best in Show at the 2023 National Dog Show. This win was a hometown victory as they both live in Pennsylvania. Stache, whose registered name is GCHP CH Goodspice Efbe Money Stache, impressed at the show by dealing easily with multiple happenings around him.
This dog managed to top the Terrier Group at the National Dog Show, securing a spot in the Best in Show round amongst the six other group winners. The Best in Show judge went on to award Stache first place and Reserve Best in Show was given to Pumpkin the Dalmatian. Stache’s win marked an exciting transition as Winston the French Bulldog, the previous year’s winner had made history as the first French Bulldog to triumph at the National Dog Show.
After being ranked as the #2 Terrier and #12 All-Breed show dog in America, Stache dominated the National Dog Show and secured over 20 Best in Show prizes. His incredible feat was witnessed by more than 20 million viewers, demonstrating his widespread popularity among animal lovers.
