Married Couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes Reunite for Star Cinema Film “Rewind”
Popular celebrities Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes are eagerly anticipating their upcoming film “Rewind,” which will be produced by Star Cinema. According to Rivera, the opportunity to work together again after a long time is a dream come true for the couple.
Rivera, who announced the start of filming at the Preview Ball, expressed her excitement about acting alongside her husband. She stated, “We’re super excited. We’ve been looking forward to ‘Rewind’ because it has been a while since we last worked together. This is our moment to showcase our acting skills on set.”
The actress admitted that the thought of collaborating with Dantes in a Star Cinema film is overwhelming, in a positive way. She also expressed her admiration for the film’s director, Mae Cruz-Alviar, stating, “I’m so excited because it’s been a long time since my last movie. And this time, it’s with Star Cinema and Dong. It’s a dream come true. I’m delighted to work with [Mae Cruz-Alviar], the type of director who supports you as much as she can. I’m looking forward to bonding with her.”
“Rewind” is one of the entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in December, alongside films such as “A Mother and Son’s Story,” “K(Ampon),” and “Penduko.” When asked about the competition with award-winning actresses in the MMFF, Rivera emphasized that the festival provides an opportunity for Filipino moviegoers to enjoy watching films in theaters once again. She stated, “The MMFF makes me happy because our prayer is for everyone to watch films and support the industry again. That’s our goal.”
Despite her excitement, Rivera laughed off the idea of bringing her children Zia and Sixto to the set of her upcoming film. She explained, “Maybe when I have some breathing space, because during the first and second day of filming, I’m still getting the hang of it. I don’t want to make things difficult for myself. Maybe when things become more manageable.”
