Man Charged In Dave Chappelle Attack to Stand Trial in Roommate’s Stabbing

The man accused of attacking comedian Dave Chappelle on stage at the Hollywood Bowl in May was ordered Friday to stand trial on an attempted murder charge in a separate case for allegedly stabbing his roommate at a transitional housing apartment last December.

Superior Court Judge Kevin Stennis rejected the defense’s request to dismiss the case against Isaiah Lee, 24, or to lower his $1 million bail following a brief hearing in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom.

Lee was charged with the felony count May 18 in connection with the alleged attack on Dijon Washington, just under two weeks after he was charged by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office with four misdemeanor counts stemming from the alleged attack May 3 on Chappelle.
