Lionsgate just released the Unsung Hero trailer for an upcoming biographical drama that tells the inspiring true story of a family achieving their dreams together.
The video showcases Joel Smallbone from Christian pop band for King & Country portraying his father David, who relocated his family from Australia to America in 1991. The film is set to premiere in theaters on April 26, 2024.

The film chronicles David Smallbone’s journey as he relocates his family to the USA after his successful music company in Australia collapses. With their seven children, luggage, and passion for music, David and his pregnant wife Helen set out to rebuild their lives. Helen’s faith inspires the entire family to hold onto their own dreams, culminating in their children becoming successful artists. The movie is written and directed by Joel Smallbone and Richard L. Ramsey, and features a talented cast including Daisy Betts, Kirrilee Berger, Jonathan Jackson, Lucas Black, Candace Cameron Bure, and Terry O’Quinn. It is produced by Joel and Luke Smallbone, along with Joshua Walsh and Justin Tolley.
