Laurie Metcalf, Nathan Lane Among Winners At Creative Arts Emmys

Laurie Metcalf won her fourth Emmy and Nathan Lane his first as the two-night 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards concluded Sunday evening at the Microsoft Theater with awards presented for scripted programming in 48 categories.

Metcalf won for best guest actress in a comedy for her portrayal of the tour manager in HBO’s “Hacks.” There were three other nominees from “Hacks” in the field — Jane Adams, Harriet Sansom Harris and Kaitlin Olson.

The other nominees were Harriet Walter, who played the mother of Premier League team owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) in Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso,” and Jane Lynch, who portrayed the stunt double for semi-retired actor Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) in Hulu’s “Only Murders In The Building.”
