An Alternate Reality
Biden’s purpose in visiting New York was to give a speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
However, his speech seemed completely disconnected from reality.
He spoke about united democracies, climate change, and artificial intelligence, topics that seemed out of touch with the current state of the world.
There was no sense of urgency or acknowledgement of the chaos and turmoil happening both globally and domestically.
Key world leaders, including the heads of China, Russia, India, France, and the UK, chose not to attend the UN General Assembly, further highlighting Biden’s disconnect from the current global order.
The only exception was his mention of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which was mainly intended to rally support and address growing skepticism in Congress.
However, the situation in Ukraine has not significantly changed, and the back-and-forth slaughter continues.
Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, fired all six defense ministers before coming to the US, highlighting his commitment to combating corruption and ensuring America’s generosity is not misused.
Border Bedlam
Meanwhile, Biden could have paid attention to the migrant crisis happening in New York, which his border policies have contributed to.
Over 110,000 new arrivals have settled in the five boroughs, with more than half relying on taxpayer support.
The projected cost of supporting these new arrivals is estimated to be $12 billion.
Approximately 6 million more asylum-seekers and illegal immigrants are scattered across the country, with many residing in Democratic strongholds.
If Biden truly cared about the impact of his policies and the upcoming elections, he should have taken the time to witness the overcrowded facilities and the challenges faced by cities like New York.
However, he has chosen to ignore the crisis he created, refusing to acknowledge the suffering caused by his open-border policies.
In New York, the situation is particularly dire due to the city’s “right to shelter” policy and Mayor Adams’ initial welcoming of thousands of new arrivals.
Adams later realized that the city could not handle the increasing numbers and sought federal aid, but his requests were ignored by the White House.
The refusal to address the border crisis extends to the relationship between Biden and Mayor Adams, who is planning to snub the president during his visit.
Childish Politics
Even Governor Hochul received a cold shoulder from the Oval Office when she sought aid for New York.
Playing politics will not solve the problem or bring back those who have died due to the drug trade facilitated by open borders.
An infant’s death in a Bronx daycare, where a kilogram of fentanyl was found near where the children slept, highlights the dire consequences of the drug trade.
It is an act of war against our country, but Biden remains indifferent.
The war at home is just as important as the war in Europe.
