Jimmy Santos surprised the hosts of the noontime show “E.A.T.” and reunited with his former “Eat Bulaga” co-stars, causing an emotional moment. Santos, who was also part of “Eat Bulaga,” appeared as the driver of Papa Ethan, a character portrayed by Wally Bayola, and brought a cake for Joey de Leon’s birthday.
Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Allan K., Miles Ocampo, Atasha Muhlach, Ryzza Mae Dizon, and Carren Eistrup were taken by surprise when Santos joined them on stage, leading to teary-eyed moments. Santos handed the cake to de Leon and expressed his birthday greetings, saying, “Happy birthday! E alam mo namang hindi kita makalimutan e. Nakatambay lang ako e, [tapos] naimbitahan akong mag-drive. OK din.”
Santos further added, “I’d like to greet you a happy, happy, happy birthday. Whatever happens in this country, I still love you all three times a day.” Vic Sotto, Ballesteros, Allan K., Bayola, and Dizon became emotional as Santos addressed the viewers and hugged de Leon.
“Especially those people surrounding [the] vicinity, I miss you all. Thank you very much. Still, ‘Eat Bulaga’ is here to stay,” Santos said. Vic immediately corrected him, saying, “Mali, ‘E.A.T.’! Wala kang kupas.”
